It's well accepted that reduced physical activity and take out are associated with obesity. But the evidence the would be the main causes of obesity is largely circumstantial. To stimulate debate, experts suggest 10 other possible causes of obesity, outlined inside International Journal of Obesity.
1. Sleep debt. Getting risky hands sleep can increase weight. Today, many get less shut-eye than ever before.
2. Pollution. Hormones control body mass. And many of today's pollutants affect our hormones.
3. Air conditioning. You must burn calories in case your environment is simply too hot or freezing for comfort. But more and more people than ever live and are employed in temperature-controlled homes and offices.
4. Decreased smoking. Smoking reduces weight. People smoke significantly less than they helpful to.
5. Medicine. A variety of drugs including contraceptives, steroid hormones, diabetes drugs, some antidepressants, and blood pressure level drugs could potentially cause extra weight. Utilization of these drugs is about the upswing.
6. Population age, ethnicity. Middle-aged people and Hispanic-Americans tend to be more obese than young European-Americans. Americans increasingly becoming older plus more Hispanic.
